Love your writing, Mrs. S! The only white shirt I've ever cottoned to (heh) is a long-sleeved Three Dots double gauze, one size larger than my usual. It helps, for me, that it's slightly off white and a butt-covering length. I've owned it for five or six years and it keeps getting softer. Alas, Three Dots seems to have discontinued this style.
